海角视频 announced today that Dr. Amy Reddinger, Vice President of Academic Affairs and Educational Equity has been selected to serve as a member of the newly launched Advisory Council on Transfer Success (ACTS). Convened by the Michigan Department of Lifelong Education, Advancement, and Potential (MiLEAP), ACTS will guide statewide efforts to expand pathways to degree completion, strengthen collaboration across Michigan鈥檚 colleges and universities, and prepare more students for in-demand careers.
鈥淚 am passionate about providing all 海角视频 students clear pathways to transfer to our four-year partners around the state. The work of this Advisory Council will be to tackle the challenging questions about barriers and loss of credits that stand in the way of student success. I am honored to be a part of this solution-focused team,鈥 said Reddinger.
The council鈥檚 16 members, including Reddinger, will play guide and oversee the state鈥檚 Transfer Success Project while also supporting MiLEAP鈥檚 efforts to navigate the transfer landscape, engage partners and advocate for productive change. Together, they will help streamline credit transfers, expand pathways in high-demand fields and make the process more transparent for students.
鈥淭he ability to transfer should be a bridge, not a barrier,鈥 said Dr. Beverly Walker-Griffea, director of MiLEAP. 鈥淭he Advisory Council on Transfer Success brings together leaders from across Michigan鈥檚 education institutions to drive bold, student-centered change, simplify pathways, and create a system where every student has the opportunity to finish their degree and access meaningful, in-demand jobs.鈥
Through their service, ACTS will help advance ongoing efforts to reach Michigan鈥檚 Sixty by 30 goal, which seeks to increase the number of working-age adults with a postsecondary degree or certificate to 60% by 2030.
